Alcatraz Island

San Francisco

03.29.2025

My girlfriend has always wanted to go to Alcatraz Island in San Francisco and never had the chance. For her birthday we drove down to the bay and got the full experience. From the ferry to the island, to the audio tour through the cell block and seeing the great views of the city, as well as the beautiful gardens. It was an awesome day. After we were done on the island we went to Pier 39 for Clam Chowder in a bread bowl and saw the Sea Lions. On our way out of the city we drove down Lombard street and even saw a Waymo car driving with nobody in the drivers seat. Then crossed the Golden Gate Bridge and went home, wonderful memories were made.- Jace

Heavenly Ski Resort

The annual big air demo in South Lake Tahoe, CA hosted by Toyota and Rockstar Energy. It was held at the base of the "World Cup" ski run just next to the California Lodge. The skill the athletes displayed as well as interesting projections and awesome fireworks made for a great event. I found a good spot with a clear line of sight to shoot from, it was pretty dark which presented quite the challenge for getting photos that were properly exposed but had alot of noise. Overall it was a great time and I learned alot. - Jace

Hollywood

Los Angeles

02.01.2025

My girlfriend and I went to L.A. for a Star Wars themed Run Disney event and decided to visit the Griffith observatory while in the city. It was we were there during the day so there wasn't any stars to see but there were some incredible views of the surrounding area and a lot of educational displays to see inside the observatory. It was a great experience getting to see the Hollywood sign in person as well as seeing the stars on Hollywood blvd on the way down the hill once leaving the observatory. Being from Lake Tahoe it's always interesting for me to go to a city and experience how different it is compared to where I'm from. - Jace
